Banana Cake
Equipment
- 1 Gugelhupf pan Ø 22 cm (2,2 L) OR cake pan (18-20 cm), lined with parchment paper
Ingredients
- 1 cup mashed ripe bananas 300 g
- ½ cup sugar 100 g
- ¼ tsp salt
- ¼ cup melted butter 65 g
- 2 medium eggs
- ⅓ cup milk 95 g
- 1¾ cup all-purpose flour 230 g
- 2 tsp baking powder
- ¾ cup chopped walnuts 100 g
Instructions
- Turn on the oven for 175℃ (350℉). MODE: Upper and Lower heat. Prepare a cake pan.
- Mash bananas with sugar using a fork.
- Add eggs, salt and beat the mixture to combine.
- Pour melted butter (lightly cooled) and milk. Mix to combine.
- Add sifted flour, baking powder. Mix just to combine. Do not over-mix!
- Gently fold chopped walnuts into the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan.
- Bake 55 minutes – 1 hour, until a toothpick inserted in the center of a cake comes out clean.
- Allow to cool 5 minutes in the pan. Then remove from the pan and let cool completely.
